ART FAIR
2025 AUGUST 28–31
KAI TAK
CRUISE TERMINAL
HONG KONG

General Information

Right in the middle of the harbor, in the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, which has already hosted events for Dior, Mercedes Benz and many more, we are setting up the Art Austria Highlights Hong Kong art fair from August 28th to 31st, 2025.

Trade fair construction with international partners and art of the highest quality transform the spectacular building designed by star architect Sir Norman Foster into a temporary museum with a lot of Austrian charm.

Art Austria Highlights takes place in close coordination with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the People’s Republic of China.
We would like to thank our numerous partners in China and Austria.
Art Austria Highlights Hong Kong shows art from Austria from Vienna 1900 to the present day.

Austria as a guest
in Hong Kong

In addition to the art, collaborations with Austria's ”culinary ambassadors” are also planned.
A Viennese café is just as not to be missed here as wine and delicacies from Austria.

Accreditation

The Art shown

From an art historical perspective, both Gustav Klimt and Friedensreich Hundertwasser were particularly fascinated by the symbolism and harmony of China's natural representations. This historical arc can be drawn into contemporary art, discovering much more of the Far East in the work of Max Weiler, Xenia Hausner, Erwin Wurm, Hubert Scheibl and Brigitte Kowanz. Therefore, Art Austria Highlights Hong Kong only shows art from Austria from Vienna 1900 to the present.

The Location

The Kai Tak Cruise Terminal is located within 10 km (6 miles) of all Hong Kong’s major metro areas. It is approximately 42 km (25 miles) to the Hong Kong International Airport, or 10 km (6 miles) to the Kowloon Airport Express station with airline check-in. Hung Hom Station with rail connections to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Shanghai, Beijing and other Chinese cities is 5 km (3 miles) from the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal.
